Kids Community Basketball

Kids Community Basketball is a Fall/Winter basketball program for children in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grades. As the name implies, we invite all children from our community to participate.

Children are evaluated at the beginning of the season in order to determine their skill level in order to help in building teams that are as evenly matched as possible. While everyone wants to win, we stress sportsmanship and teamwork over winning. We feel it is important that all children play regardless of skill level and work to build their skills and self-confidence during the season. In addition, coaches lead a short weekly devotion that teaches children biblical principles that relate to our relationships with one another.

Registration normally starts around September, practices may start late November, and games begin in January. Practice times occur in the evenings during the weekdays, and games are on Fridays and Saturdays.

While there is a fee for participation, the cost is minimal and is used to pay for jerseys, trophies, and other expenses related to the program. We recognize that even the small amount charged may be difficult for some families to pay. We do not want any child to be left out, so please contact us if you need assistance, and we will do our best to try to help.
